Begins Tuesday, Sept 2nd, 6:30pm - 8pm, and meets weekly at St Mark through Oct 14th. (There will not be a class on Sept 30th). Fee for class = $45.00.
God’s grace has guided the Church unceasingly throughout history. Pushing through crisis and scandal, the saints have manifested God’s holiness in each age of the Church. This class will look at myths, misunderstandings, and mudslinging that paint the events of Catholic history in the worst light. Digging into the details of what actually happened will shed light on the triumph of God’s grace over weakness and sin to spread his Kingdom on earth.
Dr. R. Jared Staudt will be leading this class via Zoom. Dr Staudt has taught Church history for the Augustine Institute and the lay division of St. John Vianney Seminary. He is the author of How the Eucharist Can Save Civilization, Words Made Flesh: The Sacramental Mission of Catholic Education, and The Beer Option: Brewing a Catholic Culture Yesterday & Today. He lives in rural North Carolina with his wife, Anne, and six children, and is a Benedictine oblate at Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey.
